This is how we cross the river to get to our village in Russia…
It is so cool…
It swings, sways and bounces as you walk…

We loved the old carousel that was in the very special store for children in the center of Moscow. Then they destroyed that store for no darn reason. (Except money and greed!)
We found the carousel the other day and Sveta got some good pictures of it. It has come back from the dead and only issue is that the original toy store will never be back…

But at least it lives on…

These lucky kids got a quick spray with a fire hose being used to water the grass out in front of the building. You could tell by the squeals that they enjoyed the cool water on this 100 degree day…

Sveta took some pictures and I decided to post them. She was walking home after work and caught some images…

Our local rail station and the men are working on the tracks. We have a nice rail station and can get to Moscow center in about 25 minutes. We have what is called fast trains or slow trains. The one in the picture is a slow train that and takes 40 minutes to get us to Moscow Center. They stop at all rail stations on the way…

Prior to becoming Patriarch, Kirill was Archbishop (later Metropolitan) of Smolensk and Kaliningrad beginning on 26 December 1984; and also Chairman of the Orthodox Church’s Department for External Church Relations and a permanent member of the Holy Synod beginning in November 1989.
Svetlana was walking to work and the church that you see in the pictures is nearby. She noticed that there was a lot of activity and Svet is “curious like a cat” as we say in America…
Svet got to experience a rare moment and she was able to capture the Patriarch Kirill on film. She also has a short video and when she gets home maybe we can do something with that video.
Svet was so excited that she emailed these pictures from work and I for one am proud to post these fantastic pictures of the head of the Russian Orthodox Church by Svetlana!
