Many times in Moscow you have a Babushka out in the work force shoveling snow. Can anyone say, very tough ladies? This particular day it was -25 degrees below zero Centigrade!
Just way too cool! Boza and I were out on a walk and took a back path near the woods. We came upon a road made long ago and it was made from old steam radiators. They I am sure were put down for traction and to keep cars from sinking in the mud. This road is hundreds of meters long and in places is two lanes still visible. All I can say is Cool…
Just a neat building that Svet and I thought was cool and took some pictures. Lots of the old Soviet Buildings are beautiful and fantastic craftsmanship…
Pictures by Svetlana! Svet’s Note: That is pictures of Metropol Hotel.
The man sweeping is a local who works as a guard at the local Church! The Church is being rebuilt and is fenced to keep all the supplies from disappearing, like some of the supplies that you see on the right side of the picture.
He wears a special uniform that looks like it is from a much older era… (Just click picture to see large version)
Svet loves to take pictures and that love for taking pictures sometimes gets her some interesting looks. On this day Svet came across a group of men having a meeting of great minds or something…
I just think it is great when trees grow over the road like this. No big trucks to tear it down either. This was way back in the country side of Russia as we drove to our village.
No Lie: This bush is about 30 feet across an 15 feet tall. I was standing way back to get it all in the picture. The bottom picture is me next to it looking up…The smell was incredible and the bumble bees were everywhere!
